Lanka does do more damage to eidolons, though, but I'm rubbish with it due to the projectile travel time and charge mechanic so I still use Rubico Prime for eidolons because I deal more damage due to actually landing all shots. When I think of a high powered rifle like the Vectis, I certainly don't think of something that fires a weaker shot than a bow and arrow. Snipers are also good at shooting down ships in the Plains or Vallis (because they're a damage sponge enemy). The Vectis Prime is a fine choice for PoE, as it is overall very good in what it does.
